Tasks
The surf school is open all year round and teaches all ages from 4 years old. The school is located right on the beach in the center of Maitencillo.
For example, your tasks may include:
- Reception and customer service at the surf school
- Issue and rental of surf equipment, parasols, etc.
- Checking and maintaining the surf equipment
- Keep the beach clean
- Give surfing lessons
If you don’t have any surfing experience yet, you have the opportunity to learn to surf, but this is not a necessary requirement.

Work hours:

Our services
If you are planning a longer stay, you can combine one or several work and travel jobs with a ranch stay, volunteer work or an au pair at different locations in Chile. Our programs can be combined with one another as needed. The best thing is, if you combine several programs in Chile, you will receive the following discounts on the program costs.
Accommodation and Meals
Accommodation and meals are included and are provided free of charge by the employer or you receive money for grocery purchases.
You will live with other employees in your own cabaña (simple hut) near the beach. You have an hour break for lunch and can eat in the cabaña or directly on the beach.
Your work place
Maitencillo is a small beach town directly on the Pacific coast, approx. 60 km north of Valparaíso, with numerous tourist offers (hotels, restaurants, bars, etc.).
The beautiful beaches are surrounded by an idyllic natural landscape and forest areas in the hinterland. Maitencillo is ideal for surfing (Playa El Abanico) and kitesurfing (Playa Aguas Blancas).
