Your everyday life as an au pair in South America consists of looking after the children and doing household chores. You do homework with the children, accompany them to leisure activities and thus support your host parents.

Your au pair costs consist of travel costs to South America and possibly costs for a preparatory language course. If you want to improve your Spanish skills through an intensive language course before your stay with the family, we will be happy to help you find a suitable language school.

Usually an au pair spends three to twelve months with the family and during this time receives a small amount of pocket money for the work done. The weekly working hours can vary greatly depending on the host family and their individual needs. You should expect about 30 to 40 hours per week. At the same time, however, you are entitled to two free weekends per month and several free evenings per week. You can use free weekends ideally to get to know South America better.

Scenic excursion destinations, important sights and exciting cities can be ideally explored on day trips. You can use your free evenings, for example, to explore the local cultural offerings or to socialize with other locals. During your time as an au pair in South America you will live with our host family. Here you have your own room and therefore enjoy sufficient privacy.
