General information about internships in Chile

Work Place
Thanks to our high quality contacts in Chile, we arrange internships in almost all industries. We maintain contacts with renowned international companies, with large Chilean companies, with medium-sized companies as well as with private and public institutions. Simply just let us know what you are looking for when you register.

Work Hours
The work week in Chile is 45 hours, but your actual working hours during your internship depend on the company in question. There are companies where you will have fewer working hours, but under no circumstances will the working hours during your internship exceed the 45 hours per week.

Salary
In Chile and South America it is not common for interns to receive a salary. Larger companies usually only pay for lunch and transfer. We do have contacts to individual companies that offer payment and if possible, we will of course place you with these companies.

Duration and timing
You determine the duration and the dates of your internship. However, it usually makes sense to be there a minimum of 2 months so that you can familiarize yourself and get to know the Chilean work culture. The absolute minimum duration is 4 weeks.

Knowledge of Spanish
Depending on the type of your internship, different levels of Spanish are required. You don’t speak Spanish yet or only very little? No problem. The Spanish schools in Chile that we have selected will help you to reach the required language level in a few weeks before starting or during your internship. A course duration of at least 4 weeks is recommended for beginners.
