Our language school in Pichilemu is only a few meters from the beach. In the immediate vicinity you will find cozy cafes, small restaurants or snack bars. The beautiful inner courtyard of the school and the nearby park invite you to have a leisurely lunch and offer you a relaxed atmosphere to relax and unwind after your Spanish class. An ideal place to learn Spanish, for everyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of a big city.

The language school has modern classrooms from where you have an amazing view of the sea, the cape and the historic district of Pichilemu. There is also a roof terrace with lounge chairs and tables as well as a cozy lounge for studying, exchanging ideas with other language students or just drinking coffee. Most of the students are from North America, Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

Lessons

The lessons at our language school in Pichilemu are flexible and tailored to the individual language level of our students. The fastest, most effective way to learn a language is by immersion – in and out of the classroom. Therefore, the approach taken is to speak as much Spanish as possible during and outside of class. The teachers are all native speakers with university degrees and also speak English.

A standard group course consists of 15 lessons of 50 minutes per week, i.e. 3 lessons per day. The maximum number of students per course is 8. Homogeneous groups ensure quick learning success and fun in the classroom. The language course usually takes place in the mornings; the course is only moved to the afternoon in exceptional cases. This course is chosen by most of our participants.

With a private course, you are completely flexible in terms of time and subject matter. Your teacher can tailor the lessons to you. The standard private course consists of 10 lessons of 60 minutes per week. The lessons can be flexibly timed, in coordination with your teacher. A private course is ideal for participants who already have a good language level and still have very specific areas, they want to improve such as grammar, communication or vocabulary. The private course can also be taken in addition to the standard group course.

Pichilemu is ideal for surfing courses. There are waves here for beginners as well as experts. You can surf all year round.

The surf course includes the following:
5 surf lessons with a surf instructor (1.5 hours each), 1 week of rental surf equipment.

Stand Up Paddle (SUP)

Pichilemu is also very suitable for Stand Up Paddle (SUP) courses. In this course you will learn to Stand Up Paddle at a nearby lake.

The course includes the following:
5 units of stand up paddle lessons with a surf instructor (1.5 hours each), all necessary equipment, transportation to the lake.

All Spanish courses can be combined as desired with the Stand Up Paddle course.

About the City

Pichilemu is considered the secret capital of the small but very lively scene of windsurfers, kite surfers and surfers in South America. The small seaside resort 250 km south of Valparaíso attracts beginners as well as professionals with great waves and hot parties, especially in summer. Every year, many European and American surfers visit the city’s beaches. Various international surfing competitions and music events are held in Pichilemu throughout the year.

Pichilemu is a small, manageable town with many restaurants, cafes, pubs and discos. Everything in Pichilemu is within walking distance. For a language trip to Chile, Pichilemu is the ideal place for everyone who is looking for a contrast to the hustle and bustle of a big city. Many of our participants combine a language course in Santiago de Chile with Pichilemu and thus benefit from both sides.

In Pichilemu and the surrounding area there are small forests and beautiful parks, such as the Municipal Park Agustín Ross Edwards, which has been a national monument since 1988. Wonderful lagoons in the surrounding area invite you to hike and picnic. In Pichilemu itself, bicycles and mountain bikes can be rented to explore the beautiful surrounding area on your own.

Founding of the city

On December 22, 1891, the municipality of Pichilemu was created by decree of President Jorge Montt Álvarez.

Sights worth seeing

The beach sections Infiernillo Beach, La Puntilla and Punta de Lobos. The old casino, the Estación de Ferrocarriles, trips to the hinterland (Ruta de la Sal, Ruta San Andrés). Magnificent lagoons invite you to hike and have a picnic.
